Stage Shooting Sundays

Training exercises consist of a series of simple, yet dynamic courses oriented on the practical use of handguns following the IDPA scoring system. These sessions are competitivitive, but focus is concerned with 1) having fun, 2) learning something along the way, 3) scoring thru shot placement accuracy, and 4) firearm safety and education. 9:00 AM to Noon, 1st 3rd, and 4th Sundays of every month. Pistol & PCC Firearms. Fee listed includes Range Fee.

Individual Instruction

$60/Person/Hour

For those just starting to shoot (and know how to hold a firearm and shoot) to advanced shooters.


Includes Instruction & Practical Live Fire in an outdoor environment.


Consists of:

  • '1 on 1' training session
  • Working on what you want
  • Live Fire Drills
  • Accuracy, proficiency, movement shooting, etc.

IDPA and B-27 Targets with scoring during Stage Shooting Sunday exercises.

Group Instruction

$60/Person/Hour, min. 3 People, min. 2 Hours

For those just starting to shoot (and know how to hold a firearm and shoot) to advanced shooters.


Includes Instruction & Practical Live Fire in an outdoor environment.

 

Multiple hours depending on group size


Consists of:

  • Everyone experiences the same training and shooting
  • Live Firm drills
  • No more than 7 shooters in a group
  • Multiple groups required for large groups

  • Proper hold, Muzzle & Trigger Control
  • Use and Safety
  • Holster draw
  • Sighting (Sight Alignment, Sight Picture)
  • Shooting at various distances

Stage Shooting

Advanced Course

$80/person, min. 3 people

Includes Instruction & Practical Shooting in an outdoor environment

  • Quick refresh of Basic Course
  • Use and Safety
  • Movement shooting - forward, side-to-side, backwards
  • Accuracy while moving, Speed while moving
  • Muzzle and trigger control during movement
  • Sight-focused vs. Target-focused shooting


Approx. 3 hours

Rifle

Fee listed includes Range Fee.

Texas License to Carry (LTC)

Instruction follows the laws of the State of Texas, Department of Public Safety (DPS) for LTC. Fee listed includes Range Fee.

Texas LTC classes offered.

Entire Course

$80/person

Course consists of 2 parts:

  • Classroom
  • Shooting Proficiency


You MUST pass both parts of the course


This is NOT a LTS (Learn to Shoot) class (see above: Basic -- Learn to Shoot classes)

Classroom and live-fire courses in Pistol, Rifle, and Shotgun.

Classroom

No less than 4.5 hrs. and no more than 6 hours (per Texas State Law)

Mandatory Requirement

  • You MUST pass the multiple-choice test after classroom instruction

Shooting Proficiency

50 rounds shot under Instructor command scored using B-27 target


Course of Fire under Instructor Command

  • 20 rounds at 3 yds
  • 20 rounds at 7 yds.
  • 10 rounds at 15 yds.


Mandatory Requirement

  • You Must pass test with a minimum score of 170 pts
  • You MUST have proficiency with your firearm to pass the minimum score (shot placement)
